Places I have been
1: heading west : Sept 2004 : Bus journey to Galway; 2 x 3 hour journeys, expressing visual impact and experience of traveling anonomously, visually recording thoughts, and feelings in both diary and sketches. At the journey's end the diary full of plans, represented eight hours of my life. The recuring themes was walls reinforced some of which have yet to be realised, based onstriking images colours seen from the unusual vantage point, high up in a bus!
2: heading to the Pale: 2008 :
Bus journey to Networking Salon at The Leinster Gallery, 27 South Frederick Street, Dublin. Sketched contours of changing landscape from front of bus, boundary lines of fields ploughed furrows, tree lines and stone walls.
Fifteen of twenty businesscard size sketches exchanged when networking with freinds and acquaintances of Networking Salon guru Tricia Murphy.
Live Art at Imagine Art Festival 2007
Open Studio Space at Waterford CTI as part of annual art festival
Two ten foot canvases inspired by journey into Nullarbor Desert, Western Australia, subsequently shown at Greyfriars Art Gallery.
Other artists taking part included Sculptor Conor Rush, Gabriella Eviston, Sharon McCarthy and Kevin Tuohy from SKART.
