Exhibition: ‘Boundary Lines at Solstice’ -
December 20th 2010 to 22nd January 2011
Boundary Lines at Solstice, at Waterford Museum of Treasures, was opened by Mr. Ray McGrath at 1pm on Tuesday the 21st December.
The collection included recent oil paintings and collages that share a common theme of boundary lines. The work is inspired by drawings made while travelling across the country. Fleeting glimpses of fields and tree lines evoke the colour and contours of Ireland's countryside.
The exhibition is open during museum hours, with free admission to the 1st floor gallery. more info ->

Chris Watson's sound interpretation of John Constable's 'The Cornfield', National Gallery, London - October 2009
Had the pleasure of revisiting John Constable's 'The Cornfield', in October 2009 in conjunction with Chris Watson's sound interpretation of the work at the National Gallery, London. Watson's difficulty in sourcing clean recordings of birdsong, without the hum of modern life, brought home just how much we have lost.
Watson's layered recreation of the spatial depth in the artwork, through sound, bridged the 80 year gap and created an immediacy and resonant intimacy between audience and artist.
